Many thanks for those who gave opions to my initial efforts regarding a new badge for Fulham FC.
With the launch of the new replica kit for 2009-10 it would seem that it is our badge again that will prevent many from buying it.
Listed below are some opinions of TFI and fulhamfc.com forum users of the Fulham FC badge, their favourites and my efforts. It would seem many believe that the initials FFC are an integral part of our badge, though many do not like the format of the current one. Is it the red perhaps?
- Its either the 1975 version or the current one for me.
- They should have used the 75 version again, or at least brought it up to date.....
- Either the 1975 version or the current one for me too.
- My view is that the shield from the old crest should be used, with the English Tudor Rose & the galleon - with the small Cottage in the centre. Hate to be negative but believe the present badge is soulless.
- Last one is great - just shows fans should design these things, not marketting/brand experts.
- I like the last one but i dont think having the cottage in our badge sits comfortably with me. I think the 75 cup final badge is classy simple bit of heritage and would do the job luverly. from a female perspective i am really unlikely to buy or wear anything with our current badge on it, i think it is garish and clumsy. you cant really make it discreet. with the 75 badge, i reckon you could do some nice bits with it nice and discreetly embroidered on a scarf hat pair of gloves whatever. even on t-shirts and zippy tops. probably same with blokes. but for me the current badge is just too brash. and dont get me started on the fulham footie chick stuff...
- Sorry but i'm not the biggest fan of them. Our colours are Red, black and white. The designs are to complex and a bit to immature (not in the childish way) just the way the cottage is depicted , looks like it should be on a cartoon set. Also the shape. Having a square logo?!... Also the only one with a shield logo clashes too much... black on black?... Doesn't work. Sorry if this sounds over critical but this is just my opinion
I've sought inspiration from an elegant piece on the Johnny Haynes stand façade. Bold, hand-rendered type within a decorative border. I believe that the supporters' club used a similar logo sometime ago, but bastardize the font to read FSC.
